“There are cat portraits from Eric Ginsburg, a painter of dogs who may be even better on the other side of the aisle” - Roberta Smith NY Times, 2013

Ginsburg credits his success to patron and friend Sol LeWitt who commissioned works and served as a mentor, along with William Wegman, who served both as Eric's "pen pal" and as "kind of a hero."

Ginsburg's works are found in public and private collections around the world including: Herb & Dorthy Vogel Collection of the National Gallery of Art, Corrie Ten Boom Museum, New Britain Museum of American Art, The Cartin Collection, Cindy Sherman, Fred Dorfman, William Wegman, Agnes Gund, Paula Cooper, and the LeWitt Collection.

Eric is also the founder and co-director of Fridge Art Fair, which offers a more accessible platform for emerging and established artists and features a diverse range of art.
